Indications:

This medication controls hypertension during cardiac surgery, perioperative myocardial ischemia, and the treatment and prevention of angina (heart complications).

Administration:

This medication is administered orally, sublingually, buccally, apostolically, and intravenously. The age and treatment response of the patient will determine the dosage for each type.

The majority of the forms are not suggested for use by kids.

Please refer to the medication’s accompanying leaflet for storage instructions. Keep medications away from children, intense light, and moisture.

Negative effects

Angle-closure glaucoma, rash, application site reactions with transdermal medications, postural hypotension (drop in blood pressure caused by the change in posture), dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flushing, fainting, methemoglobinemia, severe hypotension, sweating, anxiety, restlessness, muscle twitching, chest discomfort, palpitation, abdominal pain, and methemoglobinemia are injection site side effects (in long term).

Precautions:

Metal-containing transdermals should be re-evaluated before MRI procedures, hypothyroidism (decreased thyroid hormones), malnutrition, hypothermia (lower than normal body temperature), a recent history of heart attack, heart failure caused by obstruction, hypoxemia (low blood oxygen concentration), cardioversion (correction of cardiac rhythm), diathermy (heat application to relieve pain), and other ventilation and perfusion abnormalities.

Women who are pregnant or nursing should exercise caution because the effects are unknown. Before taking this drug, talk to your doctor.
